This bamboo ‘Thai Sala’ was conceived as an experimental knock-down unit that uses readily available small diameter bamboo found in Northern Thailand. This construction, built using local Thyrostachys bamboo, and Larger Dendrocalamus rafters has been decorated with a Northern Thai temple style fascia that provides protection for the exposed bamboo end grain and edges of the ‘Ya ka’ Thai grass roof thatch.
The model can be knocked down to be transported by pick-up truck, and can be order in a variety of sizes, to suit your garden space.
