Six Senses Resort contracted Bambooroo to install 40 carport "Buggy Parking" structures at Koh Kood island at the famous Soneva Kiri resort and Spa.
The client brief was to shelter golf buggies and electrical recharge points on exisitng footings predetermided by a superceded design. The design catered for 40m2 sagoo palm thatch roof area, on a frame of pai liang raters ontop of pai tong joists.
The main strucutre was pre-fabricated on the mainland and shipped as a two part structure. This preferred pre-fabrication method of bamboo structures allows minimal time and labour requirements for installation, taking a four man team one day to finish installation.
